Who We Are

CCJ Provides:

    *probation supervision.

CCJ provides these services through:

    *professional staff.
    *highly trained volunteers.
*all who are committed to the Restorative Justice philosophy.

The philosophy of Restorative Justice views crimes as offenses against the community, not simply as violations against the state. Consequently, having community members become active in accountability and peacemaking helps our community build a sense of safety and capacity for collective action. Restorative Justice practices provide the offender an avenue to work through their difficulties in the context of their own community.

CCJ is a community justice center which pairs staff members and community volunteers with people in conflict. This is accomplished through one-on-one relationships with convicted adult offenders. Individuals who are on probation meet regularly with a person who supports them in fufilling the conditions of their court ordered requirements and challenges them to grow from the experience.
